On April 20, 2018, the grand finale of the "Rétame y Aprendo" contest took place at the Polytechnic University of Cartagena. Two students of our institute arrived at this final, Víctor Espín in the ESO category and Alberto Nogueira in the bachelor category. Six thousand high school and high school students from 99 schools in the Region of Murcia have attended the second edition of the contest Rétame and Aprendo, an initiative that tests the level of knowledge of students through gamification. The program is developed by the UPCT, through its Digital Content Production Center, and the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports of the Region of Murcia.  That day we were some students of the institute to support our classmates. Finally Victor stayed second and Alberto managed to win the first prize.

During the second trimester the literary week took place in our institute, in which different authors of works that we read students of the center from first of the that until bachiller come. Meetings are held with the authors to meet them in person and ask them questions. In my course we had to read "Mi nombre escrito en la puerta de un váter",by Paz Castelló, after reading it we made a personal opinion about the book and this is what you are going to read in this post. In spite of the strangeness of the title of this novel, it immediately attracted my attention for the synopsis. There was something about her that encouraged me to delve into the story. I think I did not expect anything, and if I did, personally the novel surprised me just because it was not predictable. Maybe I imagined a drama, maybe with something of comedy, or on the contrary with many disappointments. Something realistic without a doubt. This last quarter of the year, we read the play "La familia de Pascual Duarte" by Camilo José Cela. To conclude with the reading of this novel of the Spanish postwar period we had to make a personal assessment about him, and this entry I bring it to you. The work shows the wildest side of an era marked by incomprehension and war and teaches us a Paschal of the best and the worst, especially the worst. It conveys the frustration of the time, the lack of culture in rural areas, which moves the characters to resolve their arguments using violence. The references to God are constant in the book and the characters go to God when they do not see another option given their ignorance. The negative note may be the lack of chronological structure of the work, which induces the reader to a certain confusion. A couple of days ago we did an English test, similar to the EBAU. In these exams a text appears and then a couple of exercises related to how, true or false and complete sentences with your words, then another text to fill in gaps with different options, another exercise to rewrite sentences in another way and finally a writing . In that exam I was talking about, the theme of wirting was the title of this post, and I'm going to write you here more or less what I put in the exam. Nowadays, many media, such as television or newspapers, try to tell us that young people play videogames too much, and with that they waste time. For me they should, before informing people in the wrong way, inform themselves about the subject. Video games have many uses, not just to pass the time. Cases are known of children who have suffered bullying and who have used video games as a way to escape from their problems. As you know, I'm studying second year of high school, and in this post I'll talk about how the course is going, the time I have left to complete it and how I'm taking it. To begin, I want to say that at the same time that I am studying I am playing in a soccer team, this obviously takes me time in the afternoon to study, but it is great because I use it as a method of evasion and then continue studying with forces. I currently have two exact weeks to complete the course and prepare for the EBAU exam. For 3 weeks, it is a non-stop exam and jobs. Luckily, I only have two exams and then 5 global exams, which serve as preparatory to the EBAU and to raise the grade, at least in my case, for other people, these exams are a recovery of the subjects that have been suspended. As I said, these remaining weeks are being a bit overwhelming and exhilarating, but we have little left to finish and after all, every effort has its reward.

 All of us know that all we do have a little or a big footfrint and this contributes to destrot our planet. Continuously the price od fodil fuels is being increased a bit because its end is near. The consume of fodil fuels for a lot of daily activities contributes to the climate change. It is embarrasing to listen to political leaders talking about climate change saying that this does not exist.   Fisrt of all, all of us must help to reduce our carbon footprint doing some activities like recycling or trying to save water. In addition, I have contributed to invert the climate change with two projects, one of them based on a system to recycle the garbage and other based on the reduction od electricity concume and in consequence the reduction of fossil fuel burned to generate this energy.  Secondly if we extract more fossil fuels we will only increase our carbon footprint and we can not revert the climate change.  In conclusion, we must reduce the extraction and...

 The holiday destination of my dreams is a cabin on the north of Sapin. There are cliffs with pasture and some animals and under the cliffs there is an unspoilt beach with white sand and a lot of rocks. There are also some mountains two or threes kilometres behind our cabin. Although it is cold and cloudy, you can go for a walk without your jacket.  In the morning, when I wake up, I will go to tthe kitchen and I will take my breakfast on the terrace of the cabin seeing and hearing how the waves broke on the rocks. After lunch, in the afternoon, I will go for a walk to the mountain with my camera to take some photos of the landscape. Before dinner, I will have a shower and then I go to the dinning room and put the fire on.  I can imagine this place without tourists drinking or making noise and not letting you to relax. Three weeks ago the Erasmus program was closed in the IES Mediterranean, which also involved other centers in Portugal, Greece, Turkey or Lithuania.  The students and teachers of these centers were in Cartagena for a week, during which they visited the Roman theater in Cartagena, next to the historic center, the city of Murcia, the port of Cartagena or La Manga.  Also one morning we were at the Municipal Stadium Mediterraneo. There we divided into groups and taught the students of the other countries to play Jugger, a sport called "gentlemen" in which two teams that struggle to deposit the "jug" in the hoop of the opposing team participate.  First we did an exhibition match and then we mixed and played several games.  At the end of the morning we were playing bubble football, which was very fun.
